Oil Heat Cares Helps on Long Island
Long Island Chapter member Kevin McClorey met Elaine Hansen of Bethpage, NY when servicing her heating system. Coincidentally, Bethpage is the hometown of Oil Heat Cares co-founder, Dan Holohan. Ms. Hansen is an elderly widow with fast progressing multiple sclerosis. She was in need of a new boiler and did not have the finances to afford it.
Kevin brought the situation to the attention of the Long Island Chapter, and gained the support of Oil Heat Cares. Thanks to generous donations from Weil McLain, Ferguson, R.W. Beckett and Taco, the Long Island volunteers installed a new boiler for Ms. Hansen, assuring a warm winter.
Thank you to everyone who donated time and material to make this possible. We would like to give special thanks to Ferguson and Weil McLain who donated the boiler, keeping the project under budget. In addition we'd like to thank the following companies for their participation: R.W. Beckett, Taco, Guaranteed Home Improvement, Order a Plumber, All Dry, Swezey, Meenan, Hirsch Fuel, Petro, Mike Dwyer, and Nick "DJ" Strano.
And thank you to the installation crew:
Dan Auciello, Mike Dwyer, Brendan Grace, Carl Graf, Scott Greco, Wayne Lawrence, Carlos Machuca, Lance Marques, Kevin McClorey, Bob Melinis, Frank Morgan, Bob O'Brien, Shane Pitta, Ron Poniatowski, (great piping job!), Nick Strano, Billy Rella, Justin Romano (thanks for the donuts!).
