Helping Our Neighbors In Need

Oil Heat Cares to the Rescue in Connecticut

The Fairfield County chapter learned of Beverly Wright, an elderly woman in poor health, who found herself without heat and hot water in her residence.

A volunteer from Christ the Redeemer Church in Southbury, CT promptly responded to her call for help and discovered that she had no food in her cupboards, as well. The Chapter immediately sprang into action to assist.

Richard Hunt stepped up to purchase groceries for Ms. Wright and address the water leakage from her hot water heater through Oil Heat Cares (OHC).

OHC intervened to restore her hot water supply by replacing the malfunctioning Phase-III indirect heater with a new Vaughn S35TTP indirect water heater. This Vaughn S35TTP unit was generously donated by Bell/Simons in Bridgeport, courtesy of Joe Denitto. Volunteer labor was provided by Jason Dayton of JBD Services and Ryan George of Ryan D George Services, both based in Newtown, CT.

Gratitude is extended to all involved for their contributions in helping Ms. Wright.
