New York City Chapter Project 4
A couple of students from the Alfred E Smith School, Bronx working and listening to their instructor, Pete Gonzalez. The Lawrence F Keene Post has served the community for years and now needed some help from the community. The satisfaction of helping someone else was evident in this photo. These students will no doubt be ready to join the workforce upon graduation.
Oil Heat Cares serves our communities and more. A great example is with the the Lawrence F. Keene Post benefited from the installation of a new Weil-McLain Boiler so that they could keep their facility open this winter. But students from the Alfred E. Smith High School, Bronx also learned a valuable lesson.

Instructor, Pete Gonzalez (a past recipient of the Instructor of the Year) worked with Angel Gonzalez of the New York City Chapter to get this project moving. Pete wanted his students to get a taste of a real life installation project.

Photos demonstrate students using safety glasses, gloves and working together all necessary things in the real world. They also learned how nasty some of the old equipment can get due to either neglect or age. These students will make fine technicians for oil companies in New York.
