On a cold mid winter morning, Christine Jones woke to a no heat situation in her home. She quickly called Frank A. Cadwell Oil Company and requested service.

Service Technician Ryan Wentland responded to her request and found the heat exchanger was severely cracked and could no longer be operated in this condition. This breakdown could not come at a worse time. Christine recently lost her job as well as suffering through a divorce.

Cadwell’s Service Manager and President of the Connecticut Valley Chapter, Jon Green, became involved. He got in touch with Oil Heat Cares and quickly got authorization to go ahead with a new warm air furnace installation.

The following morning, a Saturday, Ryan Wentland and Jon Green, of Cadwell’s and George Pavlik Ct Valley’s Vice President and F W Webb employee, proceeded to install a new Crown warm air unit under the Oil Heat Cares Program. They were aided by Chris Link, owner of Link Mechanical, who donated the duct work transitions. By early afternoon, Christine was singing the praises of everyone involved. She was amazed at the speed of the entire process and was very thankful for the benefactors who came to her aid in such a time of need.
