Some people just need a small break to keep their lives sustained. Mrs. Vellani has raised 4 developmentally disabled young ladies for the past twenty years. As a licensed foster care provider, she risked losing that privilege if help did not come soon.

Al Lettelier of ACL Plumbing and Heating and the Pine Tree Chapter, first met Mrs. Vellani on an insurance investigation. Her existing dry base boiler had suffered a burn through at the rear of the combustion chamber. Al found that a lack of proper maintenance and age of the unit resulted in no insurance coverage for her.

The Granite Group, of Portland supplied the materials and ACL Plumbing performed the work with assistance from Bill Hart of Bill Hart Plumbing and Heating.

Mrs. Vellani can sleep well knowing she is making the difference in these young ladies’ lives and keeping them safe and warm, thanks to the help from Oil Heat Cares and its wonderful volunteers.
