Pioneer Valley Chapter Project 3

Frank and Penny Maello of West Springfield, MA are an elderly couple with an old air temp furnace and on fixed income. Unable to afford a new furnace, Len Bruso of Bay State Fuel and a member of the Pioneer Valley Chapter, approached the Oil Heat cares to help Frank and his wife out.

On Oct. 30th, the Maellos were able to turn that thermostat on and have a warm, comfortable home thanks to the team of Bay State Fuel, which included Leonard Bruso III, Ron Benoit and Hector Rodiriquez. Mutti's Sheet Metal, Gary Mutti volunteered his time to do the sheet metal work. Accutech Insulation & Contracting of Ludlow, MA also contributed to the project and the asbestos was removed by volunteer Scott Dunbar.

This couple is delighted with their new Thermo Pride furnace and happy that they will not have to worry about the furnace giving out on them. Len wrote to Judy Garber, "I'm so happy that I did this project along with my people, what a good feeling that good things can happen!...I'm sure Frank and Penny will have hugs for you and the other people at Oil Heat Cares who helped us get this job installed."
